Press conference to present the truth MONZA CLUB
The 'truth by' UNITED NATIONS EDUCATIONAL SCIENTIFIC English acronym CULTURAL ORGANIZATION has been, since its founding November 4, 1946 (memorandum approved November 16, 1945), an '' necessary utopia ', in the felicitous expression of Jacques Delors ( President of the European Commission from 1985 to December 1994 ).
E 'be noted that initial drafts of the preparatory committee, chaired by Sir Alfred Eckhard Zimmern, no mention of science among the fields of action: it was the British Minister of Education to propose that the name of the organization doing to science instead.
So that instead of the primitive UNECO name of the organization took its current name of truth. No coincidence that the role of the first Director General of UNESCO was entrusted to its authoritative British scientist, Julian Sorrell Huxley.
The purpose of UNESCO were given in the promotion of peace, general welfare of humanity, international understanding and respect for human rights.
On 8 November 1947, during the second session of the General Conference held in Mexico City, the Plenary Assembly voted unanimously for the admission of Italy as a Member State of UNESCO, which was completed shortly after the January 27, 1948.
The main agreements are promoted by UNESCO: the 1954 Convention that deals with the protection of cultural property during armed conflict, the Convention of 1970 which is still the key international instrument for the protection of national cultural heritage against trafficking illicit art objects and, finally, the 1972 Convention on the UNESCO world natural and cultural.
With the subsequent Conventions for the Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage of 17 October 2003 on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions of 20 October 2005, UNESCO closes the circle of protection measures, protection, preservation, promotion and enhancement of World Heritage in its integrated sense.
Organization has 193 Member States, and No. 6 Associate Members.
Among the six groups that have joined the network and UNESCO partners certainly are placed on the relevant centers and UNESCO Clubs.
Since the founding of the first in Japan in 1947, the UNESCO Clubs are valuable partners for the 'truth, structured in the World Federation (FMACU) which brings together about 5000 Club and plays an advisory and operational at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris: This belongs to the Italian Federation of UNESCO CLUB (FICLU), the only one who has the right to bear the name of ' truth , whose ideals and objectives of the action is the interpreter of the Italian territory.
For over sixty years the UNESCO CLUBS are the privileged interpreters, on the ground, the ideals of UNESCO action of which share the goals and commitment operativo.Sono associations to which youth and adults, from all fields of study, labor and professional specialization, which share the ideals of UNESCO action, trying to achieve through concrete initiatives inspired by the concept expressed in the Constitution of UNESCO: "Since wars have their origin in the minds of men, is in the spirit of men to be raised the defenses of peace ".
In a world where cooperation between individuals and peoples reveals itself every day more essential, the UNESCO Clubs and Centres aim to give everybody the chance to know different peoples and civilizations.
The UNESCO MONZA CLUB ( www.clubunescomonza.it ) was already established 1l 13 September 1991 from the speaker and other friends who still together with other women and men chasing the '' necessary utopia. "
The institutional representative of the municipal administrators and all of the time, with great sensitivity and political foresight, could have guessed the institutional collaboration of a non-party tool, absolutely free of charge, and the even more significant one, of many people , each of considerable thickness in the specific field of business in society, motivated to expend to spread strong messages with high education and culture, especially among young people.
This concern was realized then, in February of 1993, to assign a space MONZA CLUB UNESCO Serrone at the Villa Reale in Monza.
The same friends, with other friends and girlfriends of high spessose cultural sensitivity and civic June 27, 2008 have "awakened" THE CLUB.
THE UNESCO CLUB MONZA
pursuing the goals common to all the Club and in accordance to themes suggested by the CNI for Education for Sustainable Development Week 2009 is proposed from time to time to organize meetings, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, develop projects in collaboration with institutions and in particular with universities, institutes of public and private education and training in the area, then disclosing the contents even through the computer network, on the following topics:
- understanding of the ideals of UNESCO action and proposed programs;
- education of democratic citizens and especially young people from starting
Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
- principles of peace, better knowledge of different civilizations and international understanding, in accordance with the ideals of UNESCO and the action, active citizenship and democratic participation of young people in local, inter-cultural dialogue, fairness, social justice, culture of legality, solidarity .
- protection and promotion: Heritage 'material' (monuments, archaeological sites, archives, protected areas, landscape, etc..) 'intangible' (econoscenze traditional knowledge, customs and traditions, artistic expressions, etc..), Diversity - Cultural Identity;
- planning, redevelopment, architecture and urban design, housing, green areas, slums, safety, livability and quality of life, enhancement of neighborhoods, architectural barriers, urban policies for children.
- Transportation / Mobility,
- Energy, Waste (Recycle / Reuse / Reduce), Health and sustainable structures dedicate.Turismo ..
Conducting any other activities ........ can contribute to the purposes and thereby promote the membership to 'cultural enrichment of its members.
